Chief Security Officer (CSO)

About the role

We are looking for a Chief Security Officer to lead the security strategy of Coins, the leading crypto brand in the Philippines, serving over 18 million users. The CSO will be responsible for building and maintaining a comprehensive security program covering digital currency exchange, payments, and global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute short‑term and long‑term security strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Establish and maintain security governance, policies, standards and procedures across the organization.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments, audits and compliance reviews, reporting to the CEO and board.
• Lead cross‑functional integration of security into product design, technology development and operations (Shift‑Left security).
• Build and operate the Security Operations Center (SOC) with real‑time monitoring, threat detection and incident response for cyber attacks, on‑chain threats and data breaches.
• Oversee technical security domains including network, application, endpoint, cloud, blockchain, on‑chain and wallet security.
• Drive security technology research and implementation such as AI‑driven threat intelligence, automated vulnerability scanning, penetration testing and SOAR.
• Protect core systems (trading, payment, wallet, user data) from vulnerabilities, data leaks and malicious attacks.
• Manage physical and asset security programs.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in security (CISO/CSO) within fintech or cryptocurrency environments.
• Deep understanding of global security regulations and compliance requirements for virtual currency and electronic money issuers.
• Strong track record of building and scaling security teams and SOC operations.
• Excellent communication skills to advise executive management and board members.
• Ability to work in a fast‑moving, highly regulated market.
