Claims Adjuster, Non-Auto Lines

About the role

AIG is looking for a Claims Adjuster for its non-auto lines business. The role sits within the Claims functional area of AIG Asia Pacific Insurance Pte. Ltd., focusing on intermediate to high-value complex claims in accident and health (A&H). Team members are expected to be primarily in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Manage key claims enquiries, including coverage determination, quantum analysis and legal liability assessment within authority limits, while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
• Handle complex A&H claims, including vendor and litigation management within a personal allocation.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement of claim file handling through Quality Assurance Review feedback.
• Help maintain best-practice procedures for intermediate to high-value complex A&H claims, consistent with global best practice.
• Manage Third Party Administrators so they follow claims handling guidelines and meet agreed deliverables, including audits and checks, and give technical advice to Shared Services.
• Resolve claims accurately and quickly, minimise indemnity exposure and control reserves and other financial transactions.

Required profile

• Holds BCP, PGI and HI.
• Intermediate specialist knowledge of A&H technical claims topics.
• Experience following up recommendations from technical claims audits and driving continuous claim handling improvement.
• Ability to work in a team and to direct claims strategy with claims stakeholders.

Required skills

• Policy language skills for accurate and consistent interpretation of policy wording.
• Basic knowledge of legal, regulatory and litigation requirements for the line of business.
• Good written and verbal communication and time management.
