Clinical Psychologist

About the role

NUHS is looking for a Clinical Psychologist to provide direct services to patients with chronic and mental health issues in an outpatient setting. The role sits within the Psychology team and involves working across the polyclinic and the NUHS cluster.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct clinical interviews, screenings and assessments in an outpatient setting.
• Provide individual and/or group consultations to patients.
• Facilitate collaboration and integration of services among the multi-disciplinary team at the polyclinic and the NUHS cluster.
• Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate mental health components that improve the quality of patient care, in qualitative and quantitative terms.
• Design, implement, monitor and evaluate in-house training and development curriculum for psychologists, allied health and medical professionals, measured against clinical outcome indicators.

Required profile

• MA/MSc in Applied Psychology (Clinical / Counselling Psychology).
• At least 1 year of experience counselling patients with chronic health and psychiatric issues in an outpatient setting.
• Interest in primary care psychology and demonstrated therapeutic skills for managing chronic diseases, prevention and population health.
• Ability to run clinical services independently at polyclinics.
• Willingness to travel to different polyclinics within NUP.
• 5-day work week (Monday to Friday).
