Cloud Engineer (Azure, Terraform, Linux/Windows)

About the role

Avensys is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to provide advanced operational support for Azure cloud infrastructure. You will work 24/7 on standby, handling complex incidents, performing root‑cause analysis, and ensuring high availability of services for clients across banking, insurance, healthcare and more.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver L2/L3 support for Azure services, including VMs, Storage, Virtual Networks, NSGs, Load Balancers, Backup, Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Act as escalation point for critical incidents, conduct RCA and implement permanent fixes.
• Monitor production environments, respond to alerts, and meet defined SLA targets.
• Lead patching and maintenance for Windows and Linux systems, ensuring compliance.
• Execute routine tasks such as health checks, service restarts, backup validation and configuration audits.
• Support change, release and maintenance activities following ITIL best practices.
• Maintain documentation: runbooks, SOPs and knowledge‑base articles.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive automation using Terraform and Azure DevOps.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of overall IT experience with strong hands‑on expertise in Microsoft Azure.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture, networking and security best practices.
• Extensive Windows and Linux system administration experience.
• Proven ability to manage enterprise‑scale patching and maintenance.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
