Coding Agent Research Intern

About the role

Level Infinite, Tencent's global gaming brand, is hiring a Coding Agent Research Intern. The role focuses on algorithm research and development in AI Coding Agents, fully automated game generation and game world models, covering code generation, intelligent debugging, gameplay and level generation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop LLM-based game coding agents for automatic code generation, game logic development, error diagnosis, automatic debugging and iterative optimization.
• Explore using AI to fully automate the generation of game demos, core gameplay, levels and other procedural content.
• Track cutting-edge directions such as Coding Agents, code large language models and world models, run algorithm experiments, reproduce papers and drive technological innovation.
• Apply research results to game development and interactive entertainment, producing technical reports, papers or patents.
• Work closely with senior researchers and game development teams on AI-driven game development and virtual world construction.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Machine Learning or a related field.
• Strong interest in game development, procedural content generation and generative AI in interactive entertainment.
• Good communication, collaboration and technical presentation skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Python, solid programming skills and a strong foundation in deep learning.
• Understanding of the basics of large language models and intelligent agents.
• Able to run experiments, debug code and optimize models independently, from solution design to experimental validation.
• Preferred: familiarity with Unity, Unreal Engine or other game engines, and experience with Coding Agents, code LLMs, tool use or multi-agent systems.
• Preferred: experience publishing papers at top conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, ICML and NeurIPS.
