Commercial Manager – Maritime (South East Asia)

About the role

Kpler is seeking a proactive Commercial Manager for its Maritime division in South East Asia. You will sell a disruptive technology solution to commodities market players, nurture client relationships, and drive revenue through renewals, upsells and cross‑sales.

Key responsibilities

• Engage prospective clients via email, chat and outbound calls, focusing on executive‑level outreach.
• Identify and qualify key decision‑makers, schedule meetings and follow up on enquiries and data requests.
• Deliver value‑based sales pitches that clearly articulate the benefits of Kpler’s solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of customers, prospects and sales activities in Salesforce.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrating initiative and resilience.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to tailor solutions to customer needs.
• Leverage industry knowledge in shipping, maritime and container sectors to build credibility.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of new‑business sales or business development experience, preferably in maritime, shipping, logistics, commodities, B2B SaaS or data solutions.
• Proven track record of prospecting, lead generation and closing new business.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills with senior decision‑makers.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Existing contacts in the maritime industry are a strong advantage.
• Self‑motivated, resilient, commercially driven hunter mentality.
• Team player who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
