Commercial Officer – APAC & Greater China

About the role

The Commercial Officer will join the Civil Aerospace Customer Regional Team in Singapore, reporting to the Vice President Commercial – Asia Pacific & Greater China. This position sits within the General Counsel function and focuses on maximising profit, managing commercial risk, and supporting customer relationships across the APAC and Greater China regions.

Key responsibilities

• Pursue and support opportunities to maximise profit and cash flow, including pricing and business case development.
• Instruct and administer new business agreements to secure opportunities.
• Negotiate claims, disputes and litigation to minimise cost and risk.
• Manage market perception issues, customer restructurings, rehabilitations and insolvencies.
• Lead internal approval sessions to ensure timely customer responses.
• Identify commercial risks in contracts and negotiate amendments to mitigate them.
• Interface with specialist departments for advice and ensure compliance with policies and governance.
• Drive continuous improvement and commercial best‑practice initiatives.
• Maintain precise internal communications on all managed issues.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong interpersonal, diplomatic, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proven problem‑solving skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Highly motivated, capable of working independently and under initiative.
• Sound commercial judgement and business acumen.
• Excellent administrative proficiency and ability to prioritise workloads.
• Experience influencing stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
