Business Development Manager – International Defense

About the role

BeeX is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (HAUVs) into international defense markets. You will work closely with in‑country partners, engineering, and operations teams, combining field travel with office collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Research target markets and identify credible distributors, system integrators and local defence companies.
• Assess partners on capability, reputation, customer access and compliance, and support their onboarding and training.
• Engage navies, coast guards and government agencies together with partners, translating operational needs into BeeX HAUV solutions.
• Plan and conduct overseas product demonstrations, trials and logistics.
• Monitor procurement opportunities, support bid/no‑bid decisions and coordinate tender submissions, including technical responses and pricing.
• Track competitors, defence budgets, programmes and regulatory developments in assigned markets.
• Maintain the sales pipeline and prepare updates and presentations for management.
• Ensure compliance with export control, anti‑bribery and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or a related technical field; business background is a plus.
• 0–3 years of experience in business development, sales, engineering or a related field.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly understand and explain complex systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, confident presenting to senior military and government audiences.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organisational skills, especially for managing deadlines and compliance.
• Self‑driven, resourceful and able to work with limited supervision.
• Willingness to travel internationally on short notice.
• Exposure to defence, maritime, government procurement, military service or relevant second language is a plus.
