Community & Marketing Lead – Southeast Asia

About the role

Golden Gate Ventures is seeking a Community & Marketing Lead for Asia to strengthen its network of founders, investors, LPs, corporates, and ecosystem partners. The role will design and execute community‑building initiatives, events, content, newsletters, and CRM activities that deepen relationships and support fundraising and portfolio growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build, curate, and maintain a segmented database of partners and stakeholders with detailed relationship notes.
• Plan and curate community engagements such as founder events, LP gatherings, dinners, ecosystem convenings, market visits, and partner‑led initiatives.
• Collaborate with partners to define objectives, select appropriate attendees, and craft guest lists that maximise meaningful connections.
• Identify and act on relationship‑building opportunities before, during, and after events, including introductions and follow‑ups.
• Maintain external portfolio resources (e.g., Notion pages, perks) and assist portfolio founders in accessing GGV resources and introductions.
• Execute marketing and content activities that reinforce the firm’s brand and support community initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in community management, event planning, and relationship development within a venture‑capital or startup ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of how to align community initiatives with business objectives.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership, including the CEO, CMO, and COO.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
