Construction Manager - Data Centre PMC (West Area)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is hiring a Construction Manager for its PMC team overseeing the physical on-site construction of a new data centre in Singapore. The role sits in the West Area and focuses on site logistics, trade coordination, safety management, structural sequencing and keeping the general contractor on the critical path within Singapore's tight industrial boundaries.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily site operations in industrial zones such as Tuas or Jurong, managing traffic flow, crane positioning and storage of structural steel and precast panels
• Supervise the structural build-out including deep foundations, earth retaining stabilizing structures (ERSS), mass concrete pours for transformer yards and precast concrete components
• Lead coordination meetings between civil workers and MEP teams, ensuring clear paths for utilities, cable trays and piping
• Enforce site safety in line with MOM regulations, covering heavy lifting, working at heights and confined spaces
• Run site walks, mock-ups and QA/QC inspections, and enforce corrective actions on NCRs
• Coordinate on-site inspections with Registered Inspectors and Qualified Persons so structural systems match approved plans

Required profile

• 8+ years of site construction management experience, with at least 3+ years managing data centre new builds or high-tech facilities in Singapore
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Building or Construction Management
• Valid Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) or Construction Safety Course for Project Managers (CSOC) certification

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of deep piling, precast and cast-in-situ concrete, structural steel erection and heavy lifting
• Understanding of trade sequencing, weather-tightness and MEP clean conditions
• Daily use of Procore, ACC for 3D clash resolution and Smartsheet for short-term schedules
