Consultant Engineer – Power Generation (Singapore)

About the role

FM is seeking a Consultant Engineer to join its Asia Pacific Division in Singapore. Reporting to the Group Manager – Field Engineering, you will apply your engineering expertise to help large commercial and industrial clients mitigate risks in power generation facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site assessments of client facilities, including roofs, water supplies, dust hazards, chemical storage and rack arrangements.
• Evaluate and recommend engineering solutions that align with FM Engineering Standards.
• Collaborate with mentors and senior engineers to develop risk‑reduction strategies.
• Travel to client sites as required and produce clear, written reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in the power generation sector, preferably with gas or steam turbines.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
