Consultant - Financial Services

About the role

Sia, a global management consulting group founded in 1999, is hiring a consultant for its Financial Services Business Unit. The unit delivers business transformation solutions to clients in banking and finance, covering strategy, target operating models, regulatory governance, technology transformation and business analysis. As a consultant you will be deployed to client projects, working on-site or remotely as part of a project team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform research and business analysis to solve customer business challenges, presenting tailored solutions using quantitative and qualitative data
• Create presentations and reports for team members and clients, and communicate key ideas, points and decisions
• Collaborate with internal and client project teams and contribute to internal communications and readiness activities
• Use methodological concepts and tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Access, MS Project and Visio to prepare client deliverables
• Manage assigned work activities to meet deadlines and communicate with clients, internal stakeholders and leadership
• Support the growth of the Financial Services practice through knowledge sharing and business development, including qualifying opportunities, networking and preparing pitches and proposals

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management or a related field from an accredited institution
• 1-3 years of experience delivering project deliverables on Financial Services transformations (Consumer Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, Finance & Risk Management, Risk Compliance & Ethics, Payments, Sustainable Finance/ESG or Wealth & Asset Management)
• At least 1-2 years of this work within a management consulting environment (boutique or Big4), delivering to external clients
• Strong client relationship and management skills, excellent written and oral communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Ability to start with short notice; ideally Singaporean or Singapore PR

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Project management principles and methodologies
• Certifications such as CAPM, PMP, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, Business Analytics, Data Science or Change Management are an asset
• Power BI or other visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) for dashboards is an asset
