Contract Manager (Quantity Surveyor)

About the role

We are looking for a Contract Manager to oversee the verification, costing and administration of maintenance and project works for the Authority. The role involves preparing cost estimates, reviewing contractor quotations, and ensuring timely approvals in line with KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Verify maintenance and project work, prepare cost estimates and review contractor costs.
• Calculate approval times from quotation receipt to Managing Agent approval, applying KPI deductions when necessary.
• Prepare monthly and progress payment claims, final accounts, and ensure all supporting documentation is complete and submitted on time.
• Evaluate joint measurements and endorse purchase order/works order calculations in accordance with contract terms.
• Assess contractor claims against schedule of rates, recommend approvals, and verify invoices against purchase orders and endorsed quotations.
• Administer term contracts, advise the Authority on contractor claims, and collate guarantees, warranties and statistical returns.
• Prepare tender documents for aggregated specialist systems and common services, evaluate submissions and award contracts.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of quantity surveying and contract management principles.
• Experience in cost estimation, budgeting and financial projection for construction contracts.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage KPI-driven approval processes.
• Attention to detail in verifying invoices, claims and contractual documentation.
