Corporate Counsel – Southeast Asia & Korea

About the role

Join IHG Hotels & Resorts as a senior legal professional responsible for guiding business growth across Southeast Asia and Korea. You will work at the intersection of strategy and execution, influencing commercial decisions and supporting complex deals, partnerships, and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business teams to negotiate new hotel agreements, renewals, and commercial contracts.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts while maintaining strong relationships with owners and partners.
• Provide legal guidance on operational, compliance, and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Lead franchise regulatory filings and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on transaction structuring and risk‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience practising law in a Commonwealth jurisdiction.
• Qualified lawyer with extensive experience handling complex, multi‑jurisdictional matters.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Strong commercial awareness and the capacity to balance legal risk with business objectives.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast‑paced environment.
