Costing Manager

About the role

The Costing Manager partners with business units to oversee inventory and cost management, ensuring product profitability aligns with growth objectives. This role leads financial planning and analysis activities, supports budgeting and forecasting, and provides data‑driven insights for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute periodic cost accounting close, reconcile balance‑sheet inventory, and analyse variances for financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evaluate manufacturing cost variances, product margins and drive efficiency initiatives.
• Review weekly margin reports to identify low‑margin or loss‑making items and recommend corrective actions.
• Support annual cost roll‑out, cost simulations and the development of robust costing methodologies.
• Partner with Inventory Control for quarterly E&O reviews, physical counts and daily cycle counts, ensuring compliance with finance policies.
• Provide FP&A support for the Singapore plant’s annual operating plan, forecasts and quarterly business reviews.
• Maintain internal controls, ensure SOX compliance and assist with US GAAP, tax and statutory audits.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects and work with IT to enhance cost accounting systems.

Required profile

• Recognized university degree.
• ACCA qualification or equivalent professional accounting certification.
