Country Controller – Senior Accountant

About the role

Join Neste’s Regional Finance team in Singapore as a Country Controller (Senior Accountant). You will oversee the financial operations of local entities while supporting regional growth initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders across Singapore, the wider region, and headquarters in Finland.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly financial closing and reporting for assigned entities, including inventory, transfer pricing, and cost allocations.
• Identify, track, and resolve accounting discrepancies and problems.
• Manage daily financial and compliance matters, review statutory financial statements and tax filings (GST & WHT), and serve as the primary contact for external auditors and local authorities.
• Provide finance partnership to business units, advising on local regulatory requirements, IFRS, and direct/indirect tax issues.
• Support regional projects as a finance advisor and help implement new operating models.
• Continuously improve accounting and reporting processes and support system enhancements.

• Proactive financial partner with solid knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and analysis.
• Development‑oriented mindset with technical ability to enhance accounting processes.
• Independent, self‑driven, able to influence without formal authority.
• Strong attention to detail while maintaining a holistic view of the finance function.
