Country Head (East) – New York

About the role

The Country Head (East) for SEC@NYC will lead the expansion of Singapore companies into the United States, overseeing pan‑East US programs from New York. Reporting to the NAECA Director, you will drive market development, partnership creation, and revenue generation while ensuring the sustainable growth of the centre.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute new market initiatives, roundtables and dialogues to broaden outreach and facilitate business collaborations.
• Identify, appoint and manage partners and platforms that support Singapore businesses entering the US.
• Provide market intelligence, advisory services and strategic connections to enable company internationalisation.
• Develop country briefs, engage political stakeholders and monitor KPIs with actionable insights.
• Plan and deliver events, seminars and in‑region business missions, managing resources, timelines and budgets.

Required profile

• Minimum 9 years of experience in international business development.
• Strong network across businesses, chambers, industry associations and government agencies in the US.
• Deep understanding of the US business environment, industry landscape and market ecosystem.
• Proven ability to navigate cross‑cultural differences and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership with a hands‑on approach and strong negotiation skills.
