Credit Control Manager

About the role

The Credit Control Manager will support the Senior Manager in leading the credit control and collections function for GB HELIOS. You will be responsible for ensuring timely recovery of receivables, managing credit risk, and delivering accurate reporting while driving a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end collections activities, monitor aging reports and implement strategies to reduce overdue accounts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, handling escalated cases and negotiating repayment plans.
• Manage the Non‑Performing Loans (NPL) report, drive recovery strategies for bad debts and ensure effective dunning of NPL accounts.
• Review the credit portfolio, assess creditworthiness, set appropriate limits and analyse portfolio trends.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, identify and mitigate credit and operational risks.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, lead system enhancements and automation projects.
• Prepare regular reports on collections performance, aging and risk exposure, providing insights for strategic planning.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.
• Approximately 8 years of experience in credit control and collections, with proven team‑leadership experience.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
