Credit Development Officer

About the role

Julius Baer is hiring a Credit Development Officer. The role works closely with the Front Office, Markets and other supporting functions so that credit product offerings and processes are aligned with credit strategies and policies. It sits within CRM Asia, which is part of the CRO organisation and ensures that credit transactions fit the bank's overall risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Represent CRM Asia in meetings with cross-functional teams such as Front Office and Markets, ensuring products and processes match credit strategies and policies.
• Take part in ad-hoc special projects.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders, including senior management and committees.
• Organize training for the Front Office on credit risk topics and systems.
• Ensure adherence to the bank's risk philosophy and culture, and uphold standards of honesty, integrity, due care, fair dealing, conflict-of-interest management, competence and compliance with laws and regulations.

Required profile

• University degree holder with a financial focus or similar qualification.
• Basic understanding of credit principles, risk management and banking regulations.
• Knowledge of global financial markets and current affairs, and awareness of legal, tax and reputational issues.
• Sound judgement, ability to work under pressure and initiative.
• Good team player who builds working relationships across Credit, Front Office and other divisions.
