Customer Engineer Manager

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring a Customer Engineer Manager in Singapore. The role manages customer relationships and the customer engineers in its district, acts as the main interface with product divisions, and supports system sales and installations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain customer relationships across all levels in the district and carry out regular customer visits.
• Manage, coach and direct the customer engineers in the district, including salary and career planning, corrective actions, objectives and performance appraisals.
• Act as the main interface with Product Divisions: technical support, training, spares and reliability.
• Monitor the CSD Award Program and the mentor programme for new engineers, and run escalations.
• Plan accounts with the District Sales Engineer and provide a support plan for system sales to CSD Management, Sales and Field Engineering.
• Prepare financial forecasts and cost-efficiency plans for the district, and manage system installation planning, reporting, pre-facility and start-up meetings.
• Manage the RMA procedure and track engineer effectiveness, including accuracy of customer engineer hours.
• Give formal updates to employees on business, new hires and new products, and invite guest speakers.
