Customer Quality Engineer

About the role

As a Customer Quality Engineer you will be the main liaison between STMicroelectronics and its customers, ensuring quality issues are resolved quickly and effectively. You will support customer satisfaction and drive continuous improvement throughout the semiconductor product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary quality interface for assigned customers and communicate quality matters clearly.
• Manage customer complaints, quality alerts and escalations using structured problem‑solving methods.
• Lead and coordinate 8D, root‑cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities with internal stakeholders.
• Analyze device, process and field quality data to spot trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Support containment actions, failure analysis and validation of corrective actions together with engineering, manufacturing, test, reliability and supplier teams.
• Prepare technical reports, customer responses and management summaries.
• Monitor customer‑satisfaction indicators and drive actions to improve quality performance.
• Participate in cross‑functional reviews on product quality, change management and continuous improvement.
• Help deploy and maintain robust quality processes aligned with internal standards and customer expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Materials Science, Physics, Quality Management or a related technical discipline (advanced degree is a plus).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor customer quality, quality engineering, product engineering or manufacturing quality.
• Proven experience in customer‑facing environments, preferably within semiconductor, electronics or high‑technology manufacturing.
