Customer Service Officer

About the role

The Customer Service Officer works on the front line of a bank branch, delivering timely and accurate over‑the‑counter (OTC) services while upholding the highest standards of integrity and compliance. You will support account onboarding, cash transactions, and help drive business growth by referring clients to relevant banking units.

Key responsibilities

• Perform frontline duties in accordance with regulatory and bank processes.
• Handle OTC transactions such as cash deposits, withdrawals, time‑deposit placements, and account onboarding requests.
• Identify and report any operational shortfalls or risk indicators to the appropriate unit.
• Meet customer‑service SLA targets to ensure a positive client experience.
• Maintain and safeguard controlled items (cash and stock) in the branch.
• Provide excellent, courteous service to all branch visitors.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Banking, Business, Finance or a related field.
• Less than 3 years of experience in a customer‑service environment, preferably within banking.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Meticulous, logical, and detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Team player with a positive attitude, professionalism, and high ethical standards.
