Cyber Defense Specialist

About the role

As a Cyber Defense Center Operator you will join an international team responsible for handling security incidents and expanding the organisation's IT security posture. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of the Cyber Defence Centre by creating playbooks and defining processes.

Key responsibilities

• Detect, assess and process security incidents.
• Monitor and analyse the network infrastructure.
• Identify vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation activities.
• Develop and maintain playbooks and operational processes.
• Drive further development of the Cyber Defence Centre.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in IT security, preferably in a SOC or cyber defence environment within a multinational, matrixed organisation.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP) are highly desirable.
• Clean criminal record and willingness to participate in an on‑call rotation.
• Ability to travel as required and business‑level fluency in English.

Required skills

• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR and Microsoft 365 Security Suite.
• Knowledge of information security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, TISAX).
• Strong understanding of Windows Server and desktop environments; Linux knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience with hypervisors, firewall administration and patch management.
• Background in digital forensics and log analysis.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes.
