Cyber Security Engineer – Up to 6K*13

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Cyber Security Engineer to protect our digital assets and lead the organization’s security initiatives. The role involves designing, implementing and continuously improving security controls while responding to incidents and driving risk‑reduction programs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead security awareness training, phishing simulations and assessments to embed a security‑first culture.
• Conduct comprehensive IT security risk assessments and coordinate remediation across the enterprise.
• Oversee vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and security audits, working with internal teams and external vendors.
• Develop and maintain security frameworks, policies and guidelines aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor security systems, detect unauthorized access and execute incident response, including investigation and root‑cause analysis.
• Research emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical security guidance to infrastructure, application and business teams.
• Support governance and compliance audits by maintaining documentation and risk metrics.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT security role.
• Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISM or CISSP are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (ISO/IEC 27001, NIST) and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.

Required skills

• Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Network Detection and Response (NDR) solutions.
• Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) and secure network protocols.
• Vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus) and penetration testing.
• Email security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Microsoft Purview.
• Web security controls and security policy development.
