Deals - Valuation Senior Associate

About the role

PwC's Deals Advisory Practice supports businesses in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital markets, and is the largest in Singapore. It is seeking a Senior Associate for its Valuation team, which helps organisations realise the value of strategic deals through valuation opinions and transaction advisory. The Senior Associate assists in research, forecasting and financial modelling to support fair and accurate valuation advice.

Key responsibilities

• Perform valuations of businesses, tangible and intangible assets and financial instruments (equity, debt, derivatives and options) for M&A, litigation support, financial reporting and restructuring.
• Prepare and analyse financial models and interpret the commercial data behind financial forecasts.
• Help prepare proposals and presentations for clients and support business development.
• Collaborate with Managers and Senior Managers on client deliverables and contribute to client relationships under supervision.
• Mentor and coach junior team members and interns on valuation techniques and project tasks.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects and internal practice development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or a related discipline from a recognised university.
• Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in business valuation.
• Previous experience in professional services or valuation-related roles is a strong advantage.
• Good written and verbal communication, problem-solving, attention to detail and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Solid financial modelling skills, including building and using valuation models.
• Ability to analyse complex financial information and draw insight-driven conclusions.
