Dental Surgery Assistant (Renewable Contract)

About the role

NUHS is hiring a Dental Surgery Assistant (also called Dental Assistant) on a renewable contract. You will assist the Dental Surgeon, Dental Officer or Oral Health Therapist in general dentistry, and candidates without relevant experience are welcome to apply because on-the-job training will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Dental Surgeon, Dental Officer or Oral Health Therapist in general dentistry.
• Comply with work safety regulations and ensure cleanliness and sterility of dental instruments and equipment.
• Follow infection control practices and maintain infection control standards.
• Educate patients on dental and post-operative care.

Required profile

• Minimum GCE 'N' Level; NITEC in Dental Assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Candidates without relevant experience are welcome to apply.
• Able to commit to a 5.5-day work week.
• Available to start from January 2027 onwards.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using IT applications.
