Deputy Principal (Academic or Pastoral), Elementary

About the role

Stamford American International School, an IB World School in Singapore serving students aged 18 months to 18 years, is looking for a Deputy Principal (Academic or Pastoral) for its Elementary School. The Deputy Principal is a member of the Elementary Leadership Team and may step into the role of Principal, Elementary when needed. The position takes a school-wide perspective and supports the school's vision, mission and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead initiatives with staff to build a school culture aligned with the school vision
• Contribute to the overall leadership of the Elementary School and support the school-wide Leadership Team
• Support the school vision, mission and strategic intent

Required profile

• At least 5 years of elementary homeroom teaching experience in a PYP context, including teaching Chinese literacy or as a language acquisition teacher
• 2 years of leadership experience
• Teaching qualification
• Master's degree or equivalent in educational leadership (preferred)
• Knowledge of the IB Primary Years Programme (preferred)
• Bilingual Mandarin and English, to support World Language and bilingual programs with staff, students and parents
