Design Manager

About the role

The Design Manager will lead the development of architectural and interior design solutions, translating management concepts into detailed schematics and construction documents. This role works closely with project managers, consultants, and contractors to ensure design compliance and successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare layout test fits to support feasibility studies.
• Coordinate with consultants to ensure designs meet authority requirements.
• Translate concept ideas into schematic designs for statutory submission and working drawings.
• Create 2D and 3D renderings to illustrate design intent to stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing architectural and interior design tender drawings and specifications.
• Review contractor proposals for compliance with design and specification requirements.
• Conduct site inspections to verify that works align with contract requirements.
• Provide design advice to project managers and develop design guidelines.
• Lead design standardisation initiatives to improve time, budget, and quality efficiency.
• Undertake ad‑hoc design duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Architectural Studies or Interior Design.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in Singapore.
• Experience in real‑estate or developer environments is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of statutory codes and construction practices.
• Familiarity with structural and M&E concepts is preferred.
