Desktop Engineer – End User Computing

About the role

We are looking for a Desktop Engineer to join our End User Computing team. The role focuses on delivering reliable end‑user support and ensuring stable operation of client platforms across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑user support, handling incidents and service requests for client platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform‑related issues, delivering timely temporary or permanent fixes.
• Monitor service level agreements, investigate root causes and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
• Document system configurations, maintain asset records and produce operational reports.
• Support implementation and upgrade projects, coordinating with vendors for hardware replacement and issue resolution.
• Manage user accounts, perform local server administration for software distribution and patch management.
• Identify service gaps and propose corrective action plans.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in an IT‑related discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in enterprise desktop support or technology administration.
• Strong desktop troubleshooting abilities and good communication skills.
