Desktop Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Desktop Engineer to join our team on a 1-year renewable contract. You will be responsible for setting up, maintaining and supporting desktop environments for our end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals across Windows, macOS and Linux platforms.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support, troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, and log resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Implement endpoint protection, enforce IT security policies and support compliance initiatives such as ISO 27001 and GDPR.
• Manage user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft 365, handle password resets, email setup and remote‑access configurations.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, oversee hardware procurement, tagging, lifecycle management and proper disposal.
• Support LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi and VPN connectivity, collaborating with network engineers to ensure stable network performance.
• Provide remote assistance using tools like TeamViewer, Remote Desktop and Zoom, and support collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom).
• Document system configurations, create troubleshooting guides and generate regular performance and asset reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in desktop support or engineering within an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and endpoint security solutions.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network connectivity issues.
