Desktop/IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Desktop/IT Support Engineer to provide both onsite and remote technical assistance to our clients. You will be responsible for maintaining IT equipment, handling user requests, and ensuring smooth operation of hardware and software across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot IT peripherals, including backup and recovery processes.
• Set up, install, reinstall, or migrate hardware and software according to customer standards.
• Relocate IT equipment within premises as needed.
• Provide onsite support at client locations, remote assistance via phone and email, and standby support for urgent issues.
• Handle end‑user IT requests, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and manage user profiles.
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors (e.g., IBM, HP, Microsoft) for issue escalation and resolution.
• Place service calls and follow up until problems are fully resolved.

Required profile

• Minimum ITE/Diploma in IT or equivalent qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience in an IT support role.
• Strong customer service orientation and good communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team player who takes initiative.
