Development Process Quality Control Intern

About the role

Rockwell Automation, a global leader in industrial automation and digital transformation, is hiring a Development Process Quality Control Intern in Singapore. You will report to the Engineering Manager based in Singapore and join a global Scrum team that develops, tests and delivers automated solutions for industrial control firmware and software. The internship involves cross-site collaboration with firmware, software, DevOps, test, electrical, mechanical and quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Automate builds and develop and integrate new tools supporting CI/CD and project reporting
• Use Python and PowerShell to contribute to the global Scrum team
• Identify one area of the automated build and deployment system that needs improvement, implement the code change and demo the new version by the end of the internship
• Develop metrics and dashboards tracking development quality indicators and process health
• Help define measurable, top-down indicators for development execution and quality
• Collaborate with firmware, software, DevOps and quality engineers on continuous improvement projects
• Coordinate effort across multiple sites and DevOps and quality control personnel

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Experience collaborating across different functions
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, networking and firewalls, server management, virtual machines, Chocolatey installer packaging and image management
