DevOps Engineer (CI/CD)

About the role

This is a high‑ownership DevOps position within a fast‑moving startup. You will partner with the founding team to design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code, and release automation while improving developer productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
• Automate build, test, and release processes for multiple services.
• Define environments with Terraform or Pulumi and improve Docker‑based workflows.
• Implement safe rollout strategies such as canary, blue‑green, and feature flags.
• Integrate quality gates, security checks, and observability hooks into pipelines.
• Build internal tools that boost developer productivity and maintain documentation and runbooks.

Required profile

• Ownership mindset – proactively identify and remove bottlenecks without waiting for tickets.
• Ability to operate under ambiguity, make decisions with imperfect information, and balance speed with safety.
• Clear communicator who can explain risk, admit mistakes quickly, and stay calm during incidents.
• Self‑starter who documents findings, updates runbooks, and continuously optimises workflows.
