DevOps Engineer

About the role

SGX is seeking a DevOps Engineer who treats operations as a software problem. You will keep production healthy while building automation, tooling, and AI‑driven workflows that make running our regulated capital‑markets systems predictable and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Own production reliability (SLOs, capacity planning, incident response, post‑mortems) and turn incidents into durable code or automation fixes.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code, observability stacks, and runbooks‑as‑code.
• Apply AI agents to triage, root‑cause analysis, remediation, and change review within the operations ecosystem.
• Design and integrate core services such as messaging (Kafka) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for performance‑sensitive workloads.
• Partner with product engineers on release readiness, rollout strategy, and production hardening.
• Continuously measure and reduce toil by automating repetitive tasks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform or infrastructure engineering.
• Proven track record of replacing manual work with production‑grade code.
• Comfortable working in a complex, regulated environment.
• Calm under pressure, strong root‑cause analysis skills, and disciplined follow‑through.

Required skills

• Strong programming ability in at least one modern language (e.g., Go, Python, Kotlin, TypeScript, Rust).
• Deep hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and Terraform (or equivalent IaC).
• Expertise in CI/CD, modern observability (metrics, logs, traces), and cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable).
• Experience with AI‑native operational workflows and distributed systems.
