DevOps Engineer & Site Reliability Engineer (Contract)

About the role

This is a hands‑on, 1‑year contract position responsible for establishing and operating a modern DevOps practice and delivering Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) services for a B2B2C/D2C Digital Platform Programme. The role works closely with the Enterprise Architect, Product Owner and cross‑functional delivery team to ensure technical solutions meet enterprise standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead DevOps enablement, improving CI/CD pipelines, release automation, environment promotion controls and deployment quality.
• Establish SRE practices such as observability, service monitoring, alerting, SLO definition, incident readiness and root‑cause analysis.
• Increase deployment frequency, reduce lead time for changes and enhance release safety.
• Develop production‑readiness artefacts including runbooks, dashboards, logging standards and alert‑tuning processes.
• Provide day‑to‑day solution architecture support, ensuring designs align with enterprise architecture principles and non‑functional requirements.
• Support API and integration implementation with focus on reliability, performance, observability and supportability.

Required profile

• Hands‑on engineering professional comfortable working in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional team.
• Experience collaborating with enterprise architects and product owners to translate designs into maintainable solutions.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions and escalations through appropriate governance channels.
