Dietetic Technician (Contract)

About the role

NUHS is hiring a Dietetic Technician on a contract basis to support Allied Health Professionals in patient assessment and nutrition education across the polyclinic and the community.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Allied Health Professionals in assessing patients' clinical parameters and standardised patient outcome measures.
• Educate patients and caregivers on general nutrition advice through patient and family education materials.
• Chaperone or provide translations for Allied Health Professionals when needed.
• Assist in lifestyle and preventive care programmes within the polyclinic and in the community.
• Prepare patient and family education materials for health promotion and preventive events, and deliver group education sessions, including co-leading them under remote supervision of the clinical dietitian.
• Update departmental resources and assist in collecting data for quality improvement projects and research.
• Perform nutrient analysis of recipes and conduct nutrition screening and diet history under remote supervision of the clinical dietitian.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma in Food Science, Nutrition or equivalent.
• A WSQ Higher Certificate in Food Services is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to different polyclinic locations as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with video, design software and AI programmes is an advantage.
