Digital Media Specialist – Centre for Innovation in Learning

About the role

The National Institute of Education (NIE) is seeking a Digital Media Specialist to join its Centre for Innovation in Learning. This 3‑year contract role focuses on creating interactive, multimodal learning assets that support online education and professional development programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop infographics, motion graphics, 2D/3D animations, videos, interactive media and AI‑enhanced digital learning assets.
• Translate teaching content into visual design assets and ensure alignment with institutional standards.
• Leverage generative AI tools for rapid prototyping, media production, personalization and workflow automation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to research and develop tech‑enabled learning solutions.
• Co‑design digital media campaigns, publications, data visualisations, executive presentations, web graphics, social media assets and e‑newsletters.
• Create templates and layouts that follow brand guidelines and support timely delivery.
• Explore emerging digital media, AI and educational technology trends to continuously improve design processes.

Required profile

• Polytechnic Diploma in Digital Media or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the Learning & Development or e‑Learning industry.
• Experience in an institute of higher learning is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency with Adobe Animate.
