About the role

The School of Art, Design and Media at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) seeks a distinguished scholar to join as a one‑year Visiting Associate Professor in Visual Communication. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality undergraduate teaching while offering opportunities to integrate research and collaborate with faculty.

Key responsibilities

• Teach two Visual Communication courses each semester.
• Advise on curricular development and propose new courses.
• Provide technical expertise for teaching technologies and facilities.
• Coordinate pathway activities and participate in academic meetings.
• Contribute to school and university committees.

Required profile

• Terminal degree (MFA, PhD, or Practice PhD) in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or a closely related field; an MA with significant professional experience may be considered.
• Proven track record of university‑level teaching at the associate professor level.
• Strong international visibility through scholarly publications or impactful creative work.
• Preferable substantial industry experience and international collaborations.
