Director, AI Center of Excellence

About the role

As a Technical Director within Mastercard’s AI Center of Excellence in Singapore, you will shape the technical product strategy for AI capabilities and design scalable, production‑ready solutions for deployment across China’s diverse ecosystem. The role bridges global AI innovation with local delivery, ensuring tools and platforms meet regulatory, infrastructure and operational realities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the technical product roadmap, translating business and client needs into clear technical requirements.
• Partner with global teams to adapt and localise AI tooling, platforms and frameworks for China‑specific use cases.
• Track product outcomes, monitor adoption, performance and business impact, and continuously refine the roadmap.
• Design end‑to‑end AI architectures with clients, partners and ecosystem stakeholders, suitable for cloud, on‑prem, hybrid or sovereign environments.
• Embed trust, resilience and operational readiness into solutions by design.
• Lead through influence, aligning engineering, data science, product, governance and external stakeholders in complex, ambiguous settings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical product management and solution architecture for AI systems.
• Strong ability to work across global and local teams, navigating regulatory and infrastructure constraints.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to drive decisions in multi‑disciplinary environments.
• Track record of delivering scalable, production‑ready AI solutions in varied deployment contexts.
