Director, Category Management

About the role

Sephora SEA is seeking a Director of Category Management to lead the development and execution of category strategies across its eight‑country omni‑channel business. You will drive growth, profitability and brand differentiation while collaborating with merchandising, supply chain and supplier partners.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead SEA category strategy based on market trends, consumer insights and sales data to optimise growth, space productivity and profitability.
• Negotiate and manage commercial agreements, joint business plans and pricing principles with suppliers.
• Oversee brand portfolio management, prioritising surge and exclusive brands while maintaining strategic partnerships with selective brand groups.
• Develop and maintain a robust calendar for existing brand activities and new brand launches.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure effective planning, forecasting and healthy stock levels.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of managers and professionals, handling talent reviews and succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or a related field.
• Extensive experience in category management, brand portfolio leadership and commercial negotiations within a retail environment.
• Proven ability to translate consumer insights into actionable category strategies.
• Strong leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams and driving talent development.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to work with market merchandising and supplier partners.
