Director – Construction & Energy Delay Analyst

About the role

J.S. Held is seeking a Director to lead high‑quality analytical work and client support across insurance, construction, and energy projects. The role involves delivering expert delay reports, analyzing complex schedules, and providing clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support Managing Directors in preparing delay expert reports and opinions on major energy and construction claims.
• Analyze discrete delay events within large‑scale project evaluations.
• Review and interpret project documentation to identify delay and disruption issues.
• Perform slippage analyses and schedule impact assessments using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Develop CPM schedules based on project scope and industry‑standard productivity factors.
• Prepare narrative summaries and technical reports for client communication.
• Maintain strong proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and core scheduling practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience preparing and analyzing CPM schedules and construction claims.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Strong written communication skills with a detail‑oriented mindset.
