Director, Finance Transformation (Consulting)

About the role

PwC South East Asia Consulting's Management Consulting practice offers business and technology advice from strategy to execution. Its Finance capability helps clients build high-performing finance functions that free people from transactional work while keeping controls tight. This Director role leads the team in pursuing and delivering large-scale finance transformation projects, from strategy through execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team in identifying pursuits, gaining access to tenders, building proposals and winning work, and deliver projects
• Define strategies, roadmaps and target operating models that address clients' needs in insight, efficiency, effectiveness and control
• Build relationships with senior finance and management executives in the financial services industry and its teams
• Lead and deliver client engagements, improving policies, processes, technologies and organisation structure
• Support improvements in budgeting, planning and forecasting; chart of accounts, closing and consolidation; profitability and cost management; management reporting and business analytics
• Support implementation of finance platforms such as SAP, Oracle, OneStream or Tagetik
• Lead large-scale multi-site ERP or EPM implementations (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, OneStream) and related efforts such as restructuring and capability development

Required profile

• Degree in accounting or a finance-related discipline from a reputable university
• 10-15 years of relevant experience, including a consulting (finance) background with pipeline building, project management and client communication, or strong financial services (banking) experience
• Track record of senior executive-level engagement and team leadership, with coaching and feedback
• Willingness to work with work visa sponsorship available

Required skills

• Experience implementing or working on ERP or EPM platforms
• Analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
• Certifications such as ERP/EPM platforms, Lean/Six Sigma or PMP are advantageous
