About the role

The Land Transport Authority is seeking a Director, Legal to support the General Counsel in leading a team of lawyers. This senior position offers the chance to shape legal strategy for dynamic land transport and infrastructure matters across Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of lawyers providing legal services on transport policies, licensing, prosecution, contracts and claims.
• Advise on construction and maintenance projects, including local and overseas contracts.
• Manage dispute resolution matters covering commercial, IT, construction, insolvency and tort law.
• Provide accurate, practical legal advice to senior management and respond swiftly to queries.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects with policy, operations and construction divisions.

Required profile

• Law degree and qualification under the Legal Profession Act 1966 or called to the Singapore Bar.
• Minimum 10 years post‑qualification experience, preferably with managerial or supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in regulatory and policy work, ideally with ministries or statutory boards.
• Pro‑active, solution‑oriented mindset with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to nurture, inspire and collaborate with team members.
