Director, Scientific and Regulatory Affairs - Base & Balance

About the role

The Director, Scientific and Regulatory Affairs leads the scientific and regulatory strategy for Coca‑Cola’s Base and Balanced markets across Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia and Brunei. Reporting to the Senior Director, Science and Regulatory Affairs, the role ensures full compliance of ingredients, products, packaging, labeling and marketing communications with local regulations and company policies while enabling innovation and timely product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute short‑, mid‑ and long‑term regulatory advocacy strategies to remove barriers and support the “Total Beverage” strategy.
• Secure government approvals and align new ingredients, products, labels and packaging with international standards such as Codex.
• Identify, assess and proactively manage regulatory risks, emerging trends and potential impacts on brand reputation.
• Tailor globally‑aligned strategies to the regulatory maturity of each market while maintaining consistency with corporate frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, PACS, Legal and bottling partners to protect the company’s reputation.
• Represent Coca‑Cola in industry organisations and regulatory forums, providing guidance for product registration and launches.
• Lead complex cross‑functional projects and people, ensuring timely execution and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven ability to operate independently and navigate diverse regulatory environments.
• Strong understanding of scientific and regulatory requirements for food and beverage products.
• Experience engaging with regulatory authorities and industry bodies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Track record of leading strategic advocacy and risk‑mitigation initiatives.
