Director of Customer Financing – Asia

About the role

The Director of Customer Financing – Asia will strengthen GE Aerospace’s relationships with airline financing teams, treasury units, and external financiers across the region. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the role partners closely with sales, risk, product line, and controllership teams to design and deliver financing solutions that support revenue growth while mitigating credit risk.

Key responsibilities

• Lead interactions with banks, export credit agencies, development finance institutions, and other investors to create innovative funding structures for aircraft, engines, parts, and services.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, risk, product, and finance teams to align financing solutions with commercial agreements.
• Act as a trusted advisor to airline treasury and financing teams, supporting campaign financing and transaction execution.
• Provide input to credit assessment models, macro‑credit event analysis, and airline deep‑dives for senior management.
• Manage the regional portfolio of financing transactions, ensuring compliance and optimal risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in aviation or aerospace financing, preferably within the Asia Pacific market.
• Strong network with airlines, banks, ECAs, and DFIs in the region.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across sales, risk, and finance functions.
• Excellent analytical skills with a track record of influencing credit risk decisions.
