Director of Global Strategic Partnerships

About the role

The Director of Global Strategic Partnerships will lead the development of high‑value international collaborations for NUS Enterprise, the innovation hub of the National University of Singapore. This senior, high‑autonomy position focuses on securing external funding and building strategic relationships that drive venture creation, startup scaling, and ecosystem development.

Key responsibilities

• Originate, negotiate, and convert external funding opportunities to strengthen NUS Enterprise’s financial sustainability.
• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships across global innovation ecosystems, universities, corporates, investors, and public‑sector platforms.
• Define where NUS Enterprise should engage globally and translate relationships into measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Venture Creation, IP Commercialisation, Ecosystem, NUS Overseas Colleges, and Global Outposts.
• Act as a super‑connector, moving relationships from conversation to commitment and ensuring alignment with internal priorities.

Required profile

• Senior leader with proven experience in international partnership development and fundraising.
• Ability to operate across markets, sectors, and institutional boundaries with high autonomy.
• Strong external credibility and internal alignment skills to turn opportunities into actionable projects.
• Excellent strategic thinking and relationship‑building capabilities.
