Director of Partnerships – APAC

About the role

OceanX is seeking a senior leader to head partnership development across the Asia‑Pacific region. Reporting to the VP of Partnerships, the Director will manage existing relationships and create new funding opportunities with governments, foundations, corporations, and high‑net‑worth individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate and steward relationships with potential funders across Southeast Asia.
• Manage a portfolio of current partners, tracking program activity and ensuring ongoing engagement.
• Maintain the prospect pipeline in collaboration with the Senior Manager, APAC Partnerships in Singapore.
• Record all interactions in the CRM and produce weekly partner summary reports.
• Work closely with New York headquarters to ensure legal and operational compliance.
• Develop partnership proposals in partnership with senior leadership.
• Communicate programmatic innovations and partnership needs internally and externally.

Required profile

• Proven experience in partnership development or fundraising at a senior level.
• Deep understanding of the APAC philanthropic and corporate landscape.
• Strong relationship‑building and strategic thinking abilities.
• Ability to represent a global partnership team and align regional activities with organizational goals.
