Director of Sustainability

About the role

The Singapore Fashion Council is seeking a visionary Director of Sustainability to lead the next phase of its Fashion Sustainability Programme. This senior role will shape the council’s sustainability strategy, oversee flagship programmes, and position Singapore as a regional leader in sustainable fashion and circular economy innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute SFC’s sustainability vision and long‑term strategy.
• Lead a portfolio of industry transformation programmes, including capability building and circular economy innovation.
• Drive ecosystem partnerships and cross‑sector collaboration to amplify impact.
• Oversee fundraising activities for the Fashion Sustainability Programme.
• Engage with policy makers and industry stakeholders to influence sustainable practices.
• Manage resources and ensure measurable environmental, social, and economic outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in sustainability, preferably within the fashion or related creative industries.
• Strong stakeholder management and partnership development skills.
• Ability to navigate complex, ambiguous environments and deliver results.
• Strategic thinker with a systems‑level understanding of circular economy concepts.
