Director, Talent Development & Inclusion (APAC)

About the role

Western Digital is seeking a senior leader to head Talent Development and Inclusion across the APAC region. The Director will translate global TD&I strategy into locally relevant programs that build stronger leaders, more effective managers, and engaged employees.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary TD&I partner for APAC, advising senior business and HR leaders and aligning development priorities with global direction.
• Build trusted relationships with regional HR and business partners to surface development needs and co‑design culturally relevant solutions.
• Partner with functional learning teams, such as the Tech Talent Academy, to upskill employees and ensure measurable impact on decision speed, prioritization, and bench strength.
• Design and deliver global leadership and manager development programs adapted for APAC markets.
• Identify local development gaps, leverage internal and external resources, and drive inclusive leadership capabilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading talent development, learning, or inclusion initiatives at a regional or global scale.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders across diverse cultures.
• Curiosity‑driven mindset, capable of turning strategy into actionable programs at scale.
• Ability to balance global frameworks with local nuances and manage trade‑offs.
