Driver

About the role

RENCI is hiring a driver who ensures clients are safely and punctually taken to and from their designated locations, following the agreed schedule. The driver also assists with transport requests within the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the vehicle safe and clean inside and out, and make sure it has wheelchairs restraints, a fire extinguisher, a first aid box and seat belts at all times.
• Check the vehicle and equipment (hydraulic lifter, fire extinguisher, seat belts) regularly, and carry out a daily pre-shift inspection so it is ready for the next day.
• Secure passengers properly during the journey, including fastening seat belts and securing wheelchairs.
• Provide transport services requested by the organisation, such as banking, mailing and document hand delivery.
• Follow the contingency plan and transport standard operating procedures in emergencies, and follow instructions from the Reporting Officer.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Class 3 driving licence with a good driving record.
• Able to communicate and read simple English.
• Good public relations; able to start on short notice.
• First aid, AED and CPR are preferred.
